Hybrid copper & OF cables
APAR can combine different cable elements like copper wires, fibre optics, and instrumentation pairs in hybrid cable constructions.
APAR can combine different cable elements like copper wires, fibre optics, and instrumentation pairs in hybrid cable constructions. This ensures supply of data, signals and power via one single, robust cable. The outer jacket is generally made of weather-proof and fire-retardant material. This ensures suitabity for outdoor and indoor applications. Some cables also offer double protection against induced currents from lighting.
The peak voltage reduction is nearly half compared to conventional power cables. APAR’s hybrid copper fibre cables allow end users to use DC power and fibre in one cable, to safely deliver low-voltage power and data over long distances to remote locations, where standard power is unavailable or costly to install. Hybrid cable technology enables easy installation and labour savings, and requires just a single cable pull. Various cable constructions provide unlimited application flexibility.
Application | Remote application of low-voltage power security networks, IP enabled appliances. |
---|---|
Characteristics | These hybrid cables can be customised to suit client requirements, including various fibre-optic cable designs, power, data, signal and communications conductors. |
Applicable standards | IEC 60793, IEC 60794, Telcordia GR -20, TIA/EIA 598 |
Product range | Offered in SM Fibre G652D/G657A/G655 & Multi mode Fibre OM1,OM2, OM3 and OM4, in 2F to 144 core configurations. |
Advantages | The requirement and installation time of the cabling can be reduced for indoor and outdoor units. Since data and power are combined into one cable construction, it requires only a single cable pull, to provide huge installation and labour savings. |
