HARNESS for railway coach

Railway coach harnesses play an important role in ensuring the easy, smooth and quick installations during railway coach harness production, and hence they have very unique designs and specifications.
These harnesses are used for different types of coaches covered with fire-retardant accessories. They are also used for assembly and passengers safety. There are different harness designs for different coaches.
Application A harness is an organized set of wires, terminals, conduits and connectors that run throughout the entire locomotive and relay information and electric power there by playing a critical role in connecting a variety of locomotive harnesses. Based on its application and design, these locomotive harnesses are for railway locomotive likes WAG-9, WAP-7 locomotive installation in conduits, cable jackets, connectors including SB, HB, bogie, motor, converter, compressor, blower, roof, bur and speedometer. A few are used between main circuits, auxiliary circuits, control circuits, sensor circuits, roof circuits, battery circuits and earthing circuits. The cables are suitable for use on transformers, generators and battery cables for rated voltages up to 4000 V.
Characteristics – Cables and wires for preparation of harnesses as per ELRS/SPEC//ELC/0019, Rev.4 and EDTS 132 Rev.C electron beam-irradiated, thin-walled flexible cables with copper conductors. These have a voltage rating upto 1800/3000 V – Cable management systems as per RDSO/PE/SPEC/AC/0138/2009 – Crimping sockets as per EDTS-200, EDTS-201, ICF/SK-7-2-166 and ICF/SK-7-2-528 – Other wiring accessories are used as per geometric design and electrical requirements
Applicable standards EDTS specifications of different types of railway coaches.
Product range Sometimes, harness designs are very simple, like earthing cable single wires with basic connectors or crimping socket assembly at both ends. But in some projects, the electrical design requires an incredibly complex harness, which requires the incorporation of various conductors, connectors, terminations, sheathing, overmoulds, and or strain relief. APAR has taken all of these elements in to consideration while preparing our harness range.
Advantages Reduced installation time. Reduced risk of shorting. Great performance. Helps estimate the ability of readymade harnesses to function reliably for the expected service life of the whole coach.
