The Giga-Volt hybrid solution incorporates both fibre and copper conductors in one cable that deliver power and data to a remote device through copper and fibre medium. As the connectivity needs converges, APAR hybrid cables will assist builders to meet their demand with this unique cable designs across multiple use cases across 5G, Wi-fi, DAS, IOT & M2M.
APAR’s Core (AWG) + Fibre Hybrid cables consist of desired number of power cores and optical fibre/’s subunits. These opto electrical units are bunched together with high precision as hybrid unit and covered with corrugated armour or peripheral strength members and high performance UL/CPR listed polymers suitable for outdoor/indoor application. The multiple combination of power and optical fibres are available based on application and requirements.

Let’s break down its construction: This hybrid cable consists of 12 power cores, each with a 4 AWG gauge, bundled together in layer-1 for efficient power transmission. The second layer comprises 8 additional cores, also 4 AWG each, alongside 48 optical fibers for high-speed data communication. A corrugated aluminum armor shields the cable, enhancing durability. Finally, an outer jacket encases the entire assembly, providing additional protection and ensuring longevity. APAR offers this hybrid cable in various configurations: 2F to 48F. Whether for power distribution or data connectivity, APAR’s hybrid cable delivers reliability and versatility. It combines power and fiber optic capabilities in a compact design, featuring a high tensile strength of 800 N, a bending radius of 15D, and operational temperature ranging from -40 °C to +70 °C. IRE 2024 APAR’s Giga-Volt Hybrid Cable (3 Core (14 AWG) + 4 Fiber) is fire-resistant. The breakdown: The cable has three 14 AWG power cores stranded over a central strength member for longevity. Along with power cores, 4 optical fibers offer fast data transmission. An outer jacket, flexible inner jacket, fire-resistant layer, and steel wire braiding armor provide layered protection. APAR sells this hybrid cable in 2F–48F sizes. Power distribution and data connectivity are reliable and resilient with APAR’s hybrid cable. Its compact design integrates power and fiber optic capabilities. It has a 2600 N tensile strength, 4000 N compression resistance, 15D bending radius, and -40 to +70 °C operational temperature. It also provides power and communication for 180 minutes in intense fire circumstances. The flexible braided armor provides strong mechanical protection.​​​
