Product Description
APAR’s STACIR (Super Thermal Resistant Aluminium Alloy Conductor, Aluminium Clad Invar Reinforced) and STACIR/TW conductors are advanced High Temperature Low Sag (HTLS) conductors designed to significantly enhance transmission capacity while utilizing existing transmission infrastructure.
The conductor features an Aluminium Clad Invar Steel (Fe-Ni Alloy) core surrounded by Super Thermal Resistant Aluminium-Zirconium (AT3) alloy wires. This advanced construction combines exceptional thermal stability, low thermal expansion, high conductivity, and superior mechanical strength, making STACIR an ideal solution for transmission line uprating, renewable energy integration, and grid modernization projects.
Capable of operating at temperatures up to 210°C, STACIR conductors can carry substantially higher current than conventional ACSR conductors while maintaining lower sag and requiring minimal infrastructure modifications.
Key Advantages
- Continuous operating temperature capability up to 210°C
- Up to 100-150% higher current carrying capacity compared to equivalent ACSR conductors
- Exceptionally low sag due to Aluminium Clad Invar reinforced core
- Increased transmission capacity without constructing new lines
- Minimal or no tower reinforcement required for line uprating projects
- Excellent thermal and mechanical stability
- Excellent corrosion resistance and long service life
- Available in both round wire and trapezoidal wire configurations

Standards & Quality
APAR’s STACIR conductors are manufactured in compliance with relevant international standards and utility specifications to ensure superior electrical, thermal, and mechanical performance.
Each conductor is manufactured through very stringent quality standards, with rigorous testing at every stage including type testing and validation.
Construction & Material
STACIR conductors consist of Super Thermal Resistant Aluminium-Zirconium (AT3) alloy wires concentrically stranded over an Aluminium Clad Invar Steel core.
The Aluminium Clad Invar Steel core provides exceptional mechanical strength and extremely low thermal expansion characteristics, while the outer AT3 alloy strands enable continuous operation at elevated temperatures without significant loss of mechanical properties.
The conductor is available in both conventional round wire and compact trapezoidal wire (TW) constructions to optimize current carrying capacity and transmission efficiency.
