Construction & Material
ACSR/AW conductors consist of multiple layers of high-conductivity aluminium strands stranded around a central aluminium-clad steel core. The aluminium cladding protects the steel core against corrosion while providing mechanical strength, and the outer aluminium strands ensure excellent electrical performance. The aluminium clad helps to achieve overall better conductivity for ACSR/AW in comparison to ACSR Conductor.
This combination is ideal for overhead lines in corrosive environments where mechanical strength and conductivity must both be preserved.
