Our Journey of Growth and Innovation

Founded in 1958 by the visionary Shri Dharmsinh Dadubhai Desai, APAR began as a modest manufacturer of power transmission conductors in an independent India embarking on its electrification journey. Starting with a capital of less than Rs. 1 lakh, the company was driven by a bold vision to provide innovative energy solutions that would power the nation’s growth.

Over the decades, APAR expanded its product offerings from conductors to speciality oils, cables, telecom solutions, lubricants, speciality automotive, and polymers becoming a diversified billion-dollar conglomerate with a global footprint spanning over 140 countries.

2024

Raised Funds & Began Greenfield Expansion

Raised Rs 1,000 crores through QIP and began a greenfield cable expansion.

2023

Record Turnover & National Campaigns

Achieved record turnover of Rs. 14,352 crore and led major infrastructure projects. Served as Associate Sponsor of Women’s Premier League – launching the 1st National TVC Campaign.

2022

Partnered with Sonu Sood

Partnered with Sonu Sood as brand ambassador and expanded international collaborations.

2021

Achieved Industry-First Milestones

Achieved multiple ‘first Indian company’ milestones – created guidance OFC for torpedoes and received AdBlue certification by VDA-Germany.

2020

Revealed New APAR Logo

Revealed a new APAR logo, symbolizing modernization and transformation.

2019

Supplied Transformer Oils for Major HVDC Projects

Supplied transformer oils for all major HVDC projects in India.

2018

Commissioned Sharjah Plant & Hindalco Agreement

Commissioned the Sharjah plant and signed a significant agreement with Hindalco.

2016

Launched Eco-Friendly Conductors

Launched eco-friendly dull finish conductors, adding conductor plant in Jharsuguda and Oils plant in Sharjah.

2013

Set Up Greenfield Conductor Plant

Set up a greenfield conductor plant in Athola.

2012

Built India’s Largest E-Beam Facility

Built India’s largest e-beam facility at APAR Cable Solutions.

2010

Commissioned World-Class R&D Unit

Commissioned a world-class R&D unit at Rabale, enhancing innovation.

2008

Acquired UNIFLEX

Acquired UNIFLEX to enter the cables business.

2007

Entered Automotive Lubricants Segment

Entered automotive lubricants through an exclusive license with ENI Italy.

2002

Established Tax-Free Zone Facility

Established a tax-free zone facility in Silvassa for oils and conductors.

1998

Expanded Oil Production Capacity

Expanded oil production capacity with a greenfield plant in Rabale.

1969

Diversified into Speciality Oils

Diversified into speciality oils with a refinery at Mahul, Chembur.
