At APAR, our commitment goes beyond business goals to empower our stakeholders and uplift communities, creating lasting social impact through sustainable partnerships and grassroots initiatives. This commitment drives us to build strong partnerships that contribute to the nation’s progress and well-being. We see CSR as an important part of who we are—not just a responsibility, but an opportunity to give back and grow together.

Annamrita Foundation: Transforming Lives Through Nutrition
Founded in 2004, Annamrita Foundation operates on the principle that no one within a ten-mile radius of an ISKCON temple should go hungry—a vision originally set forth by Srila Prabhupada. With the support of late Dr. N.D. Desai, and under the leadership of Mr. Kushal Desai, CMD, APAR who chairs the foundation, Annamrita has grown into one of India’s largest food relief organisations.
The Annamrita Foundation’s kitchens are equipped with advanced technology to ensure efficient and hygienic meal preparation on a large scale. The kitchens feature:
- Steam-powered large containers for cooking rice, capable of preparing massive quantities to feed thousands of children daily.
- Automatic temperature regulation systems that maintain optimal cooking conditions, ensuring food safety and consistent quality.
- High-capacity vegetable processing machines for cutting and peeling, enabling rapid preparation of ingredients.

Key Highlights of Annamrita’s Impact:
- Meals Served: Over 2 billion meals provided to date.
- Beneficiaries: 1.2 million underprivileged school children across India receive nutritious mid-day meals daily.
- Scope: The foundation operates in six states through 23 centers and ISO-certified kitchens, ensuring hygiene and nutrition.
- Extended Support: Meals are also distributed to patients and families in government hospitals, elderly individuals, orphans, and vulnerable population.
Annamrita’s efforts have alleviated hunger and boosted school attendance rates, improved academic performance, and opened doors to brighter futures for countless children.
The partnership between APAR and Annamrita Foundation exemplifies how businesses can go beyond profits to create lasting social change. As we celebrate this collaboration, it serves as a powerful reminder that each of us can contribute to ending hunger.
